Offered here is a militarized version of the CJ-5 ¼ ton truck (Jeep) known as the M606A2 (Israeli CJ-5 RR Jeep). This was the Jeep next in line from the CJ-3, which resembled the WWII Jeep but with modern lines, and was a militarized civilian Jeep similar to the M38A1. These Jeeps were manufactured by Kaiser from 1965 to 1967 under contract with the Israeli government. The balance of production was between radio and gun Jeeps. This Jeep is complete with a demilled M70 106 mm recoilless rifle along with its demilled .50 caliber spotting rifle. The M70 is complete with its mount, dummy rounds, and all the special modifications used on these special Jeeps. It has a Willys Hurricane straight 4 cylinder F-head engine. The Israeli Army used these types of Jeeps during the Six-Day War (1967) in an anti-tank role. Consignor research is included.
Restored with very good body and paint. It runs well.
