The accompanying Winchester Museum letter states factory records lists this shotgun with a 32 inch barrel in 10 gauge and fancy checkered stock when shipped on October 17, 1889. Single bead sight, Winchester "WP" proof on the left side of the barrel, highly figured and checkered forearm and round knob pistol grip stock, and checkered steel buttplate. Length of pull is 12 1/4 inches.
Very fine as professionally restored by M.V. Highsmith per consignor, retaining 99% plus of the blue and casehardened finishes showing the slightest handling marks, some deep pitting under the finish on the buttplate, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
