Manufactured in 1903 with Lyman beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights and special order shotgun buttplate. The barrel has the two-line address and "33 W.C.F." on top and the two-line nickel steel marking on the left side. The upper tang is marked "-MODEL 1886-" while the lower tang is marked with the serial number and patent dates. Mounted on a smooth forearm straight grip stock with a checkered hard rubber buttplate.
Fine, retains 40% thinned original finish and some faint case colors on the lever with the balance a mostly smooth brown-grey patina. The refinished wood is fair with a repair visible near the stock toe, a couple hairline cracks and some minor chipping near the tang, and some minor dings and scratches. The buttplate is a replacement. Mechanically excellent.
