The Model 1861 was the main weapon of the Union Army during the Civil War. This standard example is dated "1862" on the lock and barrel and includes a "U.S." marked socket bayonet.

Good with mottled gray patina, light pitting, mild overall wear, and numerous scattered dents and scrapes on the stock. Mechanically fine.
