Scarce Early Production Winchester Model 1887 Deluxe Damascus Lever Action Shotgun

Manufactured in 1888. Single bead sight on the unmarked, twist pattern Damascus steel barrel with a 2 3/4 inch chamber and cylinder choke. Standard border line engraving on the receiver with the "WRACO" monogram on the left side. Double diamond pattern checkered, two piece slab forend and matching checkered pistol grip stock with checkered iron buttplate. Length of pull is 12 3/4 inches.

ConditionVery good. The shotgun has an overall gray/brown patina with areas of some darker spotting and some small scratches and nicks. The receiver and lever have a few shadow traces of original case colors in the protected areas. The wood is also very good with well-defined checkering, small dings throughout, and some larger blemishes on the sides of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
