Description:

Produced c.1942-1943, this is the Model 1942 Type 1 configuration smock in the "blurred edge" camouflage pattern printed in the double-sided "spring"/"autumn" color schemes and configured for reversibility. The smock is fitted with elastic cuffs and waist, cord-adjustable neck (neck cord absent), shoulder tabs for mounting native foliage, and a set of herringbone twill pockets with metal buttons. Example of the Type 1 smock can be seen on pages 100-113 of the book "Camouflage Uniforms of the Waffen-SS", mainly in the "plane tree" and "oak leaf" pattern, with a few "blurred edge" examples.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with some light wear and handling marks.
