Manufactured November 1944, in the second known block of World War II production M1A1 Paratrooper Carbines. The Inland barrel is dated "11-44", with an "N" marked front sight. "PI" adjustable rear sight, and a "KI" type III barrel band. The receiver is fitted with a blued round bolt, "INLAND" milled trigger housing, unmarked button safety, "SI" magazine catch, "H" hammer, and a "D" marked slide. The low wood stock has a four-rivet "IO" handguard, "RA-P" (Raritan Arsenal) on the right rear, "P" and "crossed cannons" on the slim jim grip, brown leather cheekpad with steel rivets (sans oiler), and faint casting numbers on the buttplate. Includes one blued "AI" marked magazine.
Excellent, with 97% plus parkerization overall, showing some minor handling marks and edge wear overall, and a bit of brown patina on the buttstock hinges. The wood is also excellent, with crisp original Ordnance cartouche on the right side of the grip, and minor scattered storage dings overall. Some light edge wear is present on the excellent original leather cheekpiece. Mechanically excellent.
