Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings including the Anson button release and pistol grip stock with teardrop carved flats, engraved steel grip cap, cheekpiece, blank silver inscription oval, and red rubber non-factory recoil pad. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 10 lbs 13 oz. Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection
Very good, retaining 99% reapplied blue finish, mostly a darkened gray patina with some traces of case colors on the action, some scattered pitting especially in the wood junctions, and light handling evidence. The wood is also very good with some light scratching, chipping around the forend edges and the rear top tang, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
