Manufactured in 1909 with standard two-line address/patent marking, two-line nickel steel marking (certain letters struck slightly light due to a worn die), and "25-35 W.C.F." on the special order, part octagon, rapid taper, lightweight barrel. Three-line model/trademark marking on the upper tang and serial number on the bottom of the receiver. The left side of the lower tang is marked "8027" which is repeated on the butt of the stock along with "94", and on the inside of the buttplate. Fitted with a ramped Lyman beaded blade front and three-leaf express rear sights. Mounted with a very finely figured, H-style checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a casehardened crescent buttplate.
Excellent, retains 95% plus of the original blue finish with some slight thinning on the round portion of the barrel and takedown collar showing a small spot of grey patina. 85% of the vibrant original case colors remain with the balance a smooth grey-brown patina. There are some traces of dried storage grease in sheltered areas. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
