Produced in 1980. Dual white bead sights on the vented rib, 2 3/4" chambers with full and modified chokes, and standard markings on the sides of the upper barrel. The coin finished frame has over 97% coverage with matte backed scrollwork on all sides. Gold inlaid borders and the following scenes with raised gold ducks: a pair of mallards in flight over a wetland on the right, Two mallards landing on the left, a close up of the mallard head on the trigger guard, and one taking off and one in flight on the underside, above and below an inlaid banner reading "AMERICAN MALLARD ANAS PLATYRHYNCHOS/291 of 500". Extra fancy checkered walnut pistol grip stock with semi-beavertail forearm, superb grain and a skip-line checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .725/.724 inches; choke constriction .019/.037 inches; minimum wall thickness .040/.038 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 3 oz.
Excellent with 98% original finish and some light handling marks. The wood is also excellent with some small dings and light scratches on the comb. Mechanically excellent.
