Blued Krupp steel barrels with beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and quick detach scope mount holding a Zeiss Diatal-ZA 6x42mm T* scope on the matted solid rib, 2 1/2 inch chambers with extractor, floral engraving at the breeches, and choke constrictions of .013/.026 inches. The coin grey finished boxlock action displays beautifully relief cut game scenes with a capercallie cock calling to a trio of hens on the left, a pair of sparring roe bucks on the right, and a red stag and hind on the underside covered by the triggerguard, all of the scenes are surrounded by beautiful oak leaf designs over a matted background. The gun features cocking indicators, a tang mounted safety, and a very interesting and unusual three trigger mechanism. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock horn inlays at the wrist, raised cheekpiece, capercallie engraved cartridge compartment, and horn buttplate. Length of pull 14 3/4 inches (cast-off). Weight 8 lbs. 3 oz. with scope.

Rating Definition:

Very good, retaining 90% original blue finish, attractive coin grey finish on the action, scattered minor spotting, and light handling evidence. There are small cracks on both sides of the stock head and missing one horn inlay, otherwise the wood is very good with a few dings and scratched and mostly worn checkering. The scope optics are crisp. Mechanically excellent.
