This Winchester print was used in a variety of Winchester advertisements and depicts a barn setting with white "bear dogs" in the foreground and two large brown dogs that may be bloodhounds in the background. These dogs were reportedly part of the Winchester family hunting pack. The lower left corner is signed by the artist "H. R. Poore/Philadelphia". It is mounted in an ornately molded frame with floral/rose motifs throughout. It measures 33 3/4 x 41 1/2 inches including the period, elaborately carved frame.
Very fine, the image showing minimal wear or fading overall and crisp imagery. The frame is fine with some scattered minor flaking/wear, most noticeably near the edges and corners. A desirable display piece for a gun room full of collectible Winchesters!
