Description:A product of the 1960s, the Model 137 was the earliest variation of the Gyrojet Pistols, using a solid fuel rocket in place of a standard cartridge. Only around 150 of the Model 137 were made, with this example being 121 and gold plated. Since the rocket projectile does not need a solid chamber or extractor equipment, the entire pistol can be greatly simplified and made from lightweight materials. Features fixed blade front and fixed notch rear sights, front-mounted hammer, "PAT. APPLIED FOR/MODEL 137 CAL. 49" marked on the left side, and integral checkered grips. Includes original cardboard box, 12 fired rockets, and original MBAssociates paperwork pertaining to the Model 137.
Rating Definition:Very fine overall, retaining 95% plus of the factory applied gold plating with some light handling marks and flaking. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with added markings and glued repairs.
